Well with my normal routine of coming home after work then logging onto City of Heroes over, I don't know what to do with myself. I am going to first try Star Wars The Old Republic, I watched a video of it and it looks good and since they have a free to play download option ( which takes a HUGE amount of time to download, already been over 3 hours and it still isn't done yet) if this doesn't catch my fancy I am going to try The Secret World, although I didn't see a free trial option in my limited research. I will let you know where I land on either of these two or some other game.
Post up what you are trying and I will check it out to see if it can catch my eye

I noticed several people going to SWTOR, and created a smuggler some time ago. on the server that Sweet Sarah plays on. It was a nice distraction. I never contacted anyone on the game, just played briefly here and there to get a feel. However, there was a server consolidation, and my 2 toons were sent to 2 different servers. I thought that was weird. Do not like the idea of server consolidation with the possibility of friends randomly going to other servers.
There are some aspects of the game that are nice, and with a group I think certain missions would go over easier.

Regarding SWTOR, I've heard people talk about playing either the Jedi Covenant and The Shadowlands servers. Not sure what other servers you might of heard people playing on.

Still feeling my way around the game , trying to get used to the vast difference from CoH, made various toons to see if any compare to scrappers, so far I have yet to find one. I made a Jedi something and a sith something and right now I am running the imperial blaster, figure I will try all the classes to about level 4 just to get a feel of them. I am not even sure which server I am on, I know its a PvE one on the east coast, I was trying to see if I could choose a different one, but I cant see an option to do so :

When you log into SWTOR, you generally see the Select A Server screen. From the printscreen, you can see that I have a toon in Jedi Convenant and The Shadowlands. Free to Play only allows 2 toons. When you select a server, you'll see your toon with the Server name above the head, and toons available to the right with Name, Profession, and Level with your location in the game.

Yea after my last post I was able to figure out how to go back to the server select screen and I was on the Jedi Covenant server already, I think I am going to stick with my Trooper who is level...5 I think. It took me all that time to see the xp bar hidden at the bottom of my screen

The download is a monster. I know my computers are not top of the line, but one could handle 4 CoH sessions and the other 3 CoH sessions. Still, took very long to complete.
Post your names, as you know mine. One problem I see is that there are no TELL option, I think they call it Whisper. You have General = Broadcast, Say = Local is all I know. Once you team, you can Team speak.
Other thing, depending on your class you start on a separate planet. Jedi are on Tyhton? and Smugglers/Troopers on Ordd. And in order to jump planet, you have to be a certain level. At least, that is what I see.
I'll be on for a bit tonight, till 8pm EST, and then back later at night.

My new Jedi Knight is named Fojjie, he is up to level 5 so far currently on Tychon 4 ( or something close to that name wise) libby is MsLibertyToo all one word Stuff I like about this game: My names actually seem normal here Powers recharge pretty quick buffs last a long ass time Stuff I dont like so far: Everyone being in the same area with the same misson, I got tired of people stealing "glowies" as I was fighting the mobs around said glowie. Having to buy powers with credits A lot of running back and forth and the map is deceptive getting to a Mission with a team mate and then you both go to seperate instances of the same mission. Durability of gear :-/ Very limited free to play options, but that can be fixed no way to make the chat box longer, I can make it wider, but not longer, as far as I can tell. Trying to set up said chat box not being able to trade items as a free player

It seems the 2 planets Ord and Tython are like training grounds. At some point you get a transport pass to leave. If people are playing on different planets, it will not be until maybe level 10 or so, that you can finally team.
If you only played CoH, SWTOR is your awakening to how nice we had it with CoH in some aspects.
Regarding names, CoH is one of the few I know that allows you to use SPACES in the name.
Enhancements are based on equipment you wear, which also changes your appearance.
Speaking of which, toon creation is more limited, so people tend to look alike.
Additionally, equipment has to be repaired or it could break.
I think with the chat box, the bottom right hand corner, you can extend the box further down. You can also create your own chat box.

That might be why libby has not moved. She's waiting for you to log on. I created a Jedi Consular called Tab'Bel and a Trooper called Tab'Cel, Figured I roam around on both planets, and see if I found either of you.
btw - no tells or whispers until level 10
