According to a facebook post on the Beyond Liberty page, if you try to run the NC Launcher, It apparently has taken to automatically uninstalling City of Heroes, which will also remove your screenshots, demorecords, costumes, AE missions, and everything else hanging of the directory.
I dont know if this is true, but I am putting the word out there just in case it is

I ran it twice today, just for ships & giggles. Nothing happened after hitting the Play Now button, except that I could not connect to the servers. That would be weird, cause the same launcher would be used to connect to the other NCSoft games.
Although, thanks for posting. If I see my computer doing strange things with the launcher, I'll look to shut it down quickly.

The only part of this that might be true, is some one uninstalled with "remove all components" which probably included screenshots. This could of been by accident, as I've seen and heared stranger things.

from another Facebook post:
People. Be extra careful with the launcher. I didn't have it set to auto update, but it still wiped my CoH directory clean. I woke up this morning to do something on my home computer before work and NClauncher was at 900MB in process list and everything was gone.

Interesting, they must have certain settings on the Launcher. Unfortunately, I ran the launcher before you posted this, and luckily nothing happened. However, will keep an eye out for it. I do have one computer that automatically loads the launcher. I'll be weary about that one. Again, thanks for posting!

Here's a thought, just copy the directory and move it to a safe file, then if the original does get deleted you still have the copy.
