So the Blood Moon is rising, and taxes are due by the end of today, April 15th.
I've always done my taxes myself. Tried Turbo Tax once, and never again. Filed by Phone twice, which was interesting. Otherwise, paper/Excel for draft and then complete the real thing. Seems every year it gets more difficult, but i guess you have to work harder for a refund.
Do any of you do your own taxes?

I use Turbotax. Takes about 1 hour. I have a simple filing, married filing jointly, 3 dependents. My refund shows up about 7-8 days later in my checking account. Pretty simple.
I've used TurboTax for about 10 years now.

When you say you "have them done", does that mean you do them or have someone else do them?
The one year I tried Turbo Tax, something odd happened with payroll at my company and people got two W-2s. I think it had something to do with changing systems that caused the mess. So, when I tried Turbo Tax it would not allow me to entry another W-2, it would only take 1 W-2. Found this odd, and spent some time trying to figure out how to enter two W-2s. I think because it was from the same company, the program could not accept another one. So I combine the amounts in the W-2s to move forward. As I usually owe the IRS, I was not happy about spending more money to wire my payment. Plus, I had issues printing a hardcopy for myself. It was a general nightmare all around, and that's all it takes for me to never use a product again. Especially, when it took a lot more time than when I did it by hand.
