I finally got my Guardian Ravager team all 7* to unlock a 7* Star Lord hopefully. My only concern is the Ravager Boomer at 29,860 T10 5/6/3 Level 60 and Drax 37,185 T11 6/6/6/3 Level 65. Hopefully the red stars on those 2 will be enough to help.

I am not looking forward to whenever the next level bump comes. Will cost way too much gold.

More health is good. He already pulls everyone so hopefully the range is greater for the number he can hit with his blind. That would be great for raids.

Got Star Lord to 7* Ended up being fairly easy.

Kree team now at 14,000ish power each and almost all 5* to unlock Fury.

People were "exploiting" something with it using Drax, so the character opposite of him, would not get sucked in

Got 342 Minn-errva shards from both offers, just need gold and supplies to level her up (right now level 40 4/4/4/2 7814 power 5 star/2 red star 32/200 2 items short from going into gear tier 6) and see what she can do with the Kree. My kree are doing much better in higher blitz tiers, just need to really, and I cant believe I am saying this, level up/slot Ronan to see what works best.

Still didn't get enough orange items from timed DD to get anyone to gear 13, although 4 of them are just missing the unique item on each of them

I don't know if id necessarily call it an exploit. However I did email to complain about some things. It wouldn't pull in and hit JJ pretty much every single time if she was on the outside. They claimed it was because of her resistance to debuffs. I am happier with how it works now though. I have now hit up to 8 characters with the blind. I have not had a chance to hit 10 with it yet to see if it can hit all 10.

342 shards? Holy shit lol. I have been working more on already existing characters so I am not really buying much right now. Winning 1st in the arena almost every day is making it so I don't need to buy cores. 4 to 500 a day is really nice.

They should make it to where you can run the DD once a month or something after your first 2 runs through it to be able to get material. I have only got 2 characters that are 1 piece from T13. Cap and CB.

All of the characters I seem to want to work on now are mystic and allll need the same freaking thing hehe.

Widowmaker beat Fear, so now we get 100 shards for whomever he chooses, a lot of people assume he will be picking Hulk, but everyone is hoping for Captain Marvel, but I doubt Foxnext would allow that, but we will see.

Gratz Man I can still only beat Tier 5 I can run T6 but not strong enough yet to beat it.

I hope he doesn't pick Hulk. He is ok early game but absolutely terrible later on.

I am going to hold off on upgrading characters until Captain Marvel comes out. I would like to put everything into her.

We’re back this week to talk about traits, changes to the Supply Store, and a sneak peek at some of next week’s events. The character traits discussion is one that will always be a part of characters releases, so we'll give some insight into how we determine those selections. But first, a special announcement from the Dark Dimension...

Fear the Darkness has been Conquered!

Congratulations to Widowmaker from Legion of Cabal for being the first person to clear Fear The Darkness! This was no easy feat. Fear the Darkness is a collection of the most feared soldiers in the Ultimus army and Widowmaker met that challenge head-on. Not only did he clear Fear the Darkness, but he also cleared it TWICE! Widowmaker destroyed the second half of Fear the Darkness, putting out almost 10 Million damage on the final node, becoming the first person to unlock Ultron (along with a very cool portrait frame).

As we announced before, the first person to clear Fear the Darkness will choose 100 shards of a character that will be made available to all current players. We’re excited to announce that Widowmaker has selected Captain Marvel! Here’s an update on our plans for the release:

•Starting on March 14 we will have a special Widowmaker calendar where you can begin to acquire Captain Marvel shards. This calendar will contain Captain Marvel Shards along with additional goodies, and will continue up to the one-year anniversary of Marvel Strike Force.
•Widowmaker's feat will forever be enshrined in Strike Force. You'll be able to view the tribute on the rooftop during an upcoming release.
•In addition to the 100 shards available throughout the calendar, two characters of Widowmaker's choosing that are currently available from campaign nodes will each be given one-day of double drops during the calendar window. Those characters will be Black Panther and Doctor Strange!
•During this time we'll also have a special offer to celebrate the Fear the Darkness .


TRAITS


So let’s talk about traits, or as it's come up more recently: “Why the heck doesn’t Punisher have the Military trait?”


We apply traits to characters based on two things:

1) Is it a defining characteristic of the character?

2) Does it make for interesting strategic choices?


To be honest, the first one is a bit arbitrary. Countless hours have been spent in comic shops, late-night diners, and on Facebook walls debating just this sort of thing. Wolverine has gone to war. Dr. Doom’s powers have been both technological and mystical in nature. Kingpin has been the nemesis of many a hero in New York City. Just about everyone has been an Avenger at some point! These discussions are part of why we love the Marvel universe.


For the characters in Strike Force, we’ve attempted to limit the overlap of traits whenever possible. This leads to some fairly debatable outcomes. Take Deadpool, for example. There’s a strong argument he should have the Military trait based on his history. We feel that he is better defined as a Mercenary. (He’s The Merc with a Mouth, after all.) As most mercenaries tend to be ex-military, those characters get the Mercenary trait in place of the Military trait. We also don’t want to remove traits, as we have all invested in characters in order to build trait-based teams, and it would hurt to lose access to a clutch character when we need them.


When it comes to Punisher’s Military trait, or the lack thereof, it’s more about the current state of the game’s meta-strategy. Captain Marvel is a powerhouse who synergizes well with Military characters by providing additional damage via her passive ability. She may slot into the Defenders team a little too easily if Punisher has the Military trait, especially in War, where Military characters will enjoy additional bonuses. (Admittedly, a Captain Marvel + Punisher book would definitely be on my pull list!) We want to give the current meta-viable teams more time to breathe before we make the already butt-kicking Defenders even stronger, and Captain Marvel is just getting started. Once we see how Captain Marvel impacts the landscape, especially upon the arrival of War, we’ll likely add the Military trait to more characters, such as Punisher. To Frank Castle, we say: Semper Fi!



Store Update

A supply ship has arrived to expand our store inventory. Today we added a new row of orange gear materials to the store that can be used to progress through Gear Tier 12 and 13.



War Machine Blitz

The march to War continues next week, as War Machine enters Blitz. Battle through waves of player teams to earn Milestone and Blitz rewards.

That’s right, the S.T.R.I.K.E. Raid: Beta featuring Miles Morales returns next week! Prepare your teams to battle some of Ultimus’ toughest allies.



Iron Man Legendary Event Returns

Another chance to add Iron Man to your roster is almost here. Build up your S.H.I.E.L.D. team and battle through this event to earn the shards required to unlock Iron Man.

4th run with a better time not spending any cores. 14d 14h 32m 34s rank 1078. I do this now just to see how I do. I hit a new record for damage with storm in here. She did over 160,000 damage at I think 13 charges with the Kingpin offense up buff. Almost dropped a Shield Operative and a couple others from full to zero in one shot.

Got Iron Man to 7 stars, with the 1 million gold I also leveled Yondu to 7 stars, which got me all the way through milestone 7 for the spend gold milestone for Captain Marvel 3/100 so far

Went back thru various campaign missions since I was getting bored just shard farming, was able to 3 star Mystic 1-9 for Cable and Cosmic 3-9 for Black Panther, so I can farm those shards and going to start working through Mystic to hopefully get 3 stars on the Dr. Strange/Vision nodes.

Nice! I am sitting on 1.4 mil in gold atm. These milestones are fricken Garbage though. I will finish both solo versions later today. I was hoping for an offer to buy her so I could spend all my shit on her. I have almost 1,000 purple ability material and over 200 Advanced Basic Catalysts to spend.

I have the Doctor Strange node at 2* cant quite get the third one. Loki is at 2* and I still need to finish 3-8 and 3-9.

This week we have a sneak peek at an upcoming Raid team, an update on the Dark Dimension, Blitz news, and the status of the next Nick Fury Legendary event. Let's dive in!




Wakanda Forever!

Gather up your Vibranium because Wakanda is putting its team together for the fight against Ultimus! The mighty warrior Okoye, who you may have encountered fighting alongside Ultimus in previous raids, will be making her way to the roster along with Shuri, M’Baku, and Killmonger in the next few months. The addition of a complete Wakandan team also means that Black Panther and Okoye will receive an update to some of their abilities to align with the arrival of their teammates. We’ll go in-depth into this Raid-focused team, as well as the changes to Black Panther and Okoye as we get closer to release, but for now, check out this little teaser below.




Alongside Black Panther is the powerful Mystic Protector M’Baku. He can sustain a high amount of damage by using his abilities to both build Charge and increase his Block chance.




Killmonger joins the team as a powerful Skill Blaster. His kit is built around critical strike, making him a devastating force on the Wakanda front line. Killmonger will be available starting on 3/12.




Okoye -- a Skill Controller who provides team support through her offensive attacks. You’ve faced a version of her before in previous Raids, but her new kit allows her to influence the battlefield by lowering enemy speed bars and clearing enemy positive effects on assists.




Last but most definitely not least is Shuri, who brings her brilliance to the team as a Tech-based Support. She'll provide healing support, as well as Charge and Ability Energy to other Wakandan allies. Shuri will be the keystone member of Wakanda, protecting and feeding the abilities of her teammates. Her influence is so great that Shuri will be the next Legendary character unlock. We'll release the requirements for her Legendary event in a future blog.





Dark Dimension

There are a few changes coming to Enter the Darkness. One of these is the introduction of first-time clear rewards for each Enter the Darkness and Fear the Darkness mission. Don’t worry if you’ve already cleared some of the missions though -- the rewards will be sent to you retroactively. We’re also reducing the difficulty of missions one through three in Enter the Darkness. Due to the updated tuning of these missions, we’ll also be refreshing the leaderboards for Enter the Darkness. This means the leaderboards (timed and original) will be unavailable to view until we add additional support. Those leaderboards will be preserved and made visible again once that support is added in a future update. Lastly, we want to emphasize to new players the extreme difficulty of Enter the Darkness. On top of updating information in the UI, we're raising the minimum gear requirements to Gear Tier 10. The new Gear Tier combined with the 6-Star requirement will better prepare everyone for the challenges that await in Enter the Darkness.

A few weeks ago we ran a poll to decide which S.H.I.E.L.D. minion would be featured in their very own Blitz. The votes are in and S.H.I.E.L.D. Assault was the overwhelming favorite! You can find her featured in Blitz next week.


Nick Fury Returns

We’ve heard your calls for Nick Fury’s return and we’re happy to announce that the comeback of his Legendary event is right around the corner. The preview for Nick Fury’s Legendary event begins next week and will lead directly into his event.

11/100 for Captain Marvel

First gear tier 13 got 3 superior carabine in a row from the shop that put me over the top still only 3rd highest power behind Thanos and Captain America

I still need 33 Superior Resistance Catalyst parts and 12 of the Superior Carbonadium to finish him Then Cap needs the same 33 Superior Resistance and 11 Superior Vibranium Maybe I will get lucky with the reward tweak coming to Enter the darkness and be able to finish one of these guys but I highly doubt it

I am at 13/100 for Captain Marvel I wish we had her now. I get tired of waiting and spend some stuff I have been saving on my Kree team. I will finally be able to get him this time around.

Day 40 Hydra team on Blue Stacks account, hard to star them up since only Sniper has a node, the rest are all via tickets. Was doing decent in the arena, but then I think I got out of the "rookie" shard + Red stars characters crept in and its been a struggle. Sad that they have no synergy at all, very poor oversight since they are an actual team

Shuri Legendary Event

In last week's update, we announced the arrival of the Wakanda team and their Legendary member, Shuri. We know everyone wants the Shuri Legendary Event requirements, so we're announcing them today! Gather your Spider-Verse characters, because they're fighting alongside Shuri, Okoye, Black Panther, Killmonger and M’Baku against Ultimus and his invading army. Green Goblin and Carnage will have new ways to unlock them outside of Blitz, we’ll have more information on that in the near future.







Widowmaker Calendar

The Widowmaker celebration calendar is here! This calendar will run for two weeks, along with a 7 day grace period, which allows you to catch up if you miss a few days. Completing this calendar will give you 100 Captain Marvel shards, a Mega Orb, two Premium Orbs, and 2 Training Orbs.








S.H.I.E.L.D. Assault Blitz

Sorry for the confusion here Commanders. We mixed up our dates but can confirm that the S.H.I.E.L.D. Assault Blitz we mentioned in last weeks blog is still on its way, this Blitz will begin after this weekend's Orb Blitz.







Enter The Darkness update

Last week we spoke about some upcoming changes to Enter the Darkness (you can read about those here). We now have an additional update: We’ve decided to remove the previously announced Gear Tier 10 restriction. However, the other changes (first-time rewards and Missions 1 through 3 difficulty changes) will go live next week.
