During poker on Friday, one of my buddies (who plays WoW) said how can you compare CoH to WoW if you haven't played WoW. Well, Im playing the starter edition for free, and it's - okay. But after playing various Sword & Spell games (M59, UO, EQ, AC, T4C), WoW just seems average. Graphics not as good as CoH, toon creation doesn't even compare to CoH, so far it seems you have a predetermined power list with no options - but only level 12. The only thing WoW has over CoH, is that WoW is still playable. So very wrong Now I understand a YouTube review of CoH, when the guy said CoH has no auto-attack. In WoW, you have an auto-attack that fills in while your main attacks recharge.

Since Guild Wars 2 just was not doing it for me, I went ahead and downloaded the 14 day trial today and game a quick run while the files were downloading and WoW is much better then GW2. The fighting is so much better and I feel like I am actually doing something along a storyline in WoW, whereas in GW2 I was just helping random people and I don't know if that was doing anything story wise or not. For as much as I claimed to not really care about the costume creator in CoH, I must say when compared to all the other games I have played it was nice being able to make your look however you wanted, but CoH did start to get very bloated later in its life making finding stuff difficult, unless you just stuck with the same basic look like I did oh how I miss you low ponytail hair style As Eye said the powers so far are static choices and some late game player UI pictures I have seen make it seem like at some point my power tray(s) will be a mess. Overall at level 5 on Wow is much more fun then being level 14 on GW2, unless I just picked a poor class on GW2 for my play style, but I didn't see anything that really said "Monk" to me whereas WoW has a Monk class

Not sure if I'm going to stay on WoW, but playing on Undermine server as a gnome rogue called Spectraleye. And there's another knock on most games, how hard is it to allow spaces? However, it appears you have to "earn" the second name some how. So, I should of called myself Spectral, and when you have the option to add "Eye", then add it. Too confusing for me, lol. Still no /demorecord option, the command that created video files that you could modify, such as the group photo of all us being Classic Monsters. And that's how I created my Icon for this site. Now at level 17, it looks like you get an option of 3 different abilities/powers at certain levels. Also, had 3 options for what type of rogue I could be, sort of like in SWTOR, you had 2 options to choose for your toon once you got off the noobie planet. Combat is a little more difficult than CoH, but it's more in line with I'm used to. Combat in CoH was really easy, get close enough and attack - the combat system automatically moved you to face your opponent, which when that first happened, I was like "too easy". All the other games I played, you would get "You are not facing your opponent", or "Opponent is not in sight", and you had to turn and face your target and in some cases move to look up or down to attack (rats being small and birds flying above). The toon graphics are okay, rather comic like, which I notieced playing Landmark (an Everquest Next related game). Sort of like the more modern realistic look from CoH, SWTOR, and SW. On the subject of toon creation, was at a wedding yesterday, and the bride's hair was a CoH Beverly Hills style (I think it was called). That's all I could think about when I saw her hair. lol Plus, her hair hardly move, so much gel and hair spray. Crafting wise, only allowed 2 skills in WoW (so far as I see), which after playing FFXIV, I feel shortchanged. As FFXIV allowed you to master all the crafting skills, which was a nice break after combat. That is one thing about FFIVX was rather unique, being able to play any role with just one toon. I know SW allowed some room for that, but didn't list any classes. And not running into Personal Instances, which I think CoH started. Can only imagine what it was like when more people played WoW and fought over a Boss that spawned in the open that people needed for a mission.

LOL I can't believe you guys are playing WOW after what it did to CoH.
I do recall being called a traitor when I tried WOW to see what it was. Plus all the complaining about people leaving CoH for WOW.
Oh well since the CMA Fest is over and things are dying down a lot here now I may join you guys. With the new chair install in the arena beginning next week, our show line up is minimal now, so I will have some time to play coming up.

Not really feeling the mage either the slow cast time is too much for me, so I will be trying something else. I did buy the Warlords of Draenor expansion from Best Buy, but I had to buy the "real game" first and I did that online and I have to wait up to 72 hours for my account to upgrade from the...I don't know what, I guess the free to play to the "real game" before I can add the expansion to it and that damn expansion is 4 DVD disks

Libby, actually, I can't believe I'm playing WoW either and sort of leading the charge. But I do have to say again, - how does CoH get shutdown and WoW continue? But Warcraft had a built in fan base before hand, that was waiting for Warcraft III (which never happened, unless you consider WoW to be Warcraft III). For now, WoW is a good distraction (since there is no more CoH), until City of Titans. I do miss SWTOR, but my thumb is very slow to heal and I was having issues with button smashing my combos on two accounts. And sort of feeling out WoW to explain to my friend why CoH was so so much more superior to WoW. Keeping a list. lol I was banking on Blizzard's Project Titan to help me get over the CoH shutdown, but they cancelled that and rumor is that Overwatch is what remains Project Titan. Even at the end of the Overwatch trailer, a character says, "The world could always use more heroes." For Wow; If you load the Trial version, you get a free 14-day trial, but are limited to level 20. When you log in, there's a screen about Upgrading or playing the Trial version. I would load the Trial version, make a character, and play a day or so. Then upgrade using the 50% discount they offer (I think it's only for online purchases), so that it's only $10 for the game and a 30-day free starting period. You can then determine if you want to subscribe for the 1, 3, or 6 month periods (like SWTOR has). The uploading does take some time, but since I have more than one computer - burn time on one while the other uploads. With difoj deleting his rogue, that explains why his toon fell off my friends list. Have played rogue (sort of like the stealth option - which is fall back to my illusion controller), the warrior is interesting (as I'm not a tank type person), and fooling around with a paladin (seems overpowered with 1 hit kills early on). The 72 hour thing passes by fairly quickly, like 4 hours for me.

I looked over some guides for WoW professions, and took Tailoring and Enchanting - so if you have linen clothes that are listed as Crafting Reagent, I'll gladly take them for my tailoring profession. For the Enchanting profession, I'll be trying to take all the magical items I can get to break them down into reagents for Enchanting - meaning I can enchant certain items with magical properties. So essentially, I've become a loot hoarder.
While I was reviewing websites, I kept hearing a sound in the background. When I closed all my web windows, I noticed Libby was on Mumble and the sound was coming from her account. Her lips were constantly red, so I think you had the setting on talk all the time. when I spoke, it sounded like I was getting feedback. For a second, I thought I heard a voice, but it was really low in the distance.
Also, I'll be working Friday for a bit, and maybe on Saturday early. Sunday, I'll be running errands, as I have to get a bunch of things done, as I'll be on vacation Wednesday to Monday. During that time, I will not be online, but may post to the site if I can get my smartphone to work.

Starting Wednesday and until Monday night, I will not be able to play, as I'll be taking a short vacation. I might be able to post to the forum, as I might check in if I get wifi access. Play on without me, if you all manage to get online at the same time. As, I should be able to power level myself to your level. Also, I learned that you can in-game mail items to your other toons, just like SWTOR. As I've collected a bunch of stuff with my higher level paladin, that my priest could use. So, feeding the lowbie tailoring & enchanting supplies.
