That is my problem too, nothing holds my attention for too long since most of these games are get to X level then grind for that loot to run the same dungeon infinitely So the 100 Billion dollar question is, what do you need in the game to keep people's interest? What tricks, gimmicks, updates, etc. are needed? Positron mentioned something about this in the final days of CoH, how small changes were needed to keep players interest, but upper management saw no $value$ in doing those types of things. I believe the saying was "Jack created CoH, but Matt perfected it". As for Star Wars, was just starting to get my groove with dual-toning when the power tree changed. It's probably much easier, but my brain has trouble comprehending the "new" look. Kallor, are you on Shadowland server, and playing toons in the Guild?

Sadly, The Shadowlands server is OFFLINE, and the only server down. The rest are running.

Whatever CoH did, that kept my interest for over 8 years where these others games are about six months and then its boring

Looking around the Galaxy, (to me) I see that there are 3 new planets, Yavin (L57-60) near Korriban, Manaan (L55) near Corellia, and Rishi (L55-57) near Tatooine.
For those that might of been out of the loop for a bit, the planets I remember added after release are Ilum (L50) with the crystal mining, Makeb (L50-55) with the special mineral and core stability issue, CZ-198 (L55) with advanced tech, and Oricon (L55) with the Sith Lords.

A Huge plus that COH had was the travel powers. It is massively annoying taking forever to travel anywhere. All of the cut scenes in Star wars makes it a little harder to hold your attention because there is too much down time. COH tried to get you into the fight much quicker.

Mumble Mumble Mumble
During my brief adventure to the Jedi Convenant server to play with a friend, the guild he was in used Ventrilo and Parsec to monitor stats. I logged on to Ventrilo several times during missions, but never spoke cause I need a microphone. However, the team leader gave great instructions for what to do during the battles. And people chimed in now and then with their thoughts.
Not being used to some higher end missions, I was soo newbie. My name was mentioned a few times for my newbness.
My only problem with these types of programs is that you usually have to hit a button to talk, like a walkie talkie. And I'm too busy button smashing one keyboard toon #1 and using the mouse for toon #2 to have a free digit to hit the talk button. Any suggestions on what type of mic & speaker to get for such incidents?
Maybe I can do something like Def Leppard's drummer, use my feet.

We didn't get libby up to where we are, but we did get to the big reveal of Revan being alive so I think we are just about to head to Rishi so hopefully we will be able to get past that crazy champion in that one mission.

How do you get that SPOILER click to show thing to work?
I did run Stepain thru some easy missions, were you get new gear, with Spectrial tagging along. I haven't started Spectrial on the missions, figured if libby needed any assistance we could team (heck cause I might need assistance too), cause it only seems to let you enter as a team for the SOLO missions if you have the same mission.

Any suggestions on what type of mic & speaker to get for such incidents? Maybe I can do something like Def Leppard's drummer, use my feet. Any cheap ole headset should work with mumble. When I first started to use it, I used it on a phone app. With the Phone I just used the basic headset(be sure to use wi-fi). Something that mumble allows, is having the mic always on. This would allow you to not need to press a button at all. The only problem this can cause is when there are too many open mic's, you can get feedback. Some people also dont like to keep hearing themselves speak hehe. When you first run mumble, be sure to use the audio wizard. It will help you with some settings that can help with noise reduction. Depending on how much you have going on besides the game will get you to decide how to set it. For me, I have it set to push to talk and I have switch mapped to the middle mouse button. That works pretty well for me but you can pick any key you like. When you go to enter the information to log in, there are 4 fields you will need. The first field is just a name you wish to call it and so can be named anything. Below you will see how I have it entered and what can be changed. Field 1 Server Name - MDK Belles - MDK Belles is my name you may use anything you wish here Field 2 Server Address - mdkbells.mumble.com Field 3 Port - 8935 Field 4 password - mdkbells Click connect and you will be placed currently into a default channel. When I get a chance I will create some other channels that can be used for various purposes. Once we start to all use it, we can play around with it a bit and see what works for us. I have the low level plan that allows like 12 to 16 people to use it, so any others playing with us can join in if they so wish. Just provide them with the information above and they are good to go. I have used mumble and vent in the past and mumble just seems easier to work with and I thought the sound quality was much better as well. Let me know what you think with using it and if you just plain hate it lol it can go away whenever. You will also be able to use this whenever. You do not need me to be on in order to log in.

The server address is mdkbells.mumble.com and the password is currently mdkbells I believe. I was trying to keep them the same and I can change the password at any time. If I can change the server address I will but I do not know if I can do that yet.

The information for the mobile app works the same way. The push to talk button will be a pair of lips that should show up on the screen should you wish to use push to talk.
When I used the mobile app, I would have my phone sit near my mouse so I was not reaching to far to push the screen.

Field 1 Server Name - MDK Belles - MDK Belles is my name you may use anything you wish here Field 2 Server Address - mdkbells.mumble.com Field 3 Port - 8935 Field 4 password - mdkbells I'm getting nothing. This doesn't appear to be as user friendly as Ventrilo and Team Speak (both of which I have used with no brain power required). I've loaded Mumble, and when I hit Connect I do not see the MDK Belles server to connect to. Guess I'll uninstall and reload, perhaps I did something wrong during install.

You seem to be where I was. Click the "Add New ...", and enter in the 4 field info that Kallor provided. You can go back and "Edit . . ." and change Field #1 Label - which should be MDK Belles for reference, and then Field #4 Username - use your forum name or whatever you feel like.

We didn't get libby up to where we are, but we did get to the big reveal So how far along is libby now? I've moved Stepain thru several missions, just eliminated the top dog of one of the pirate gangs and found out The Hand is spying on me, the Wrath Forget how far along Spectral is, completed the Tython and Korriban missions, and still in Prelude mode. Think I'm on the first mission you get at Manaan. Did the Battle of/for Ilum flashpoint mission last night with both toons to kill time and get xp. Then did some inventory clean up, while running Crew Skills. Also played around with the mumble thing.

I also bought a headset Does your headset look like Thanos's helm? and is there a mouse that looks like the gauntlet, and each gem could be an action button?
